Fox Island Tree Lighting Ceremony

Sunday, December 6, 2026

Join your Island neighbors and friends for a festive evening of fun! Sing carols around the bonfire provided by our Scouts, meet our tree lighter, visit with Santa Claus, and listen to the annual Christmas concert. Bring a few logs for our outdoor bonfire.

Scouts will arrive at 5:00 PM to build the bonfire, with caroling starting at 6:00 PM, followed by Santa's visit shortly thereafter.

This event will earn the Scouts 2 service project hours.

Mt. Rainier Snow Cave Campout

Saturday, November 20, 2027 -

Scouts will have an opportunity to construct a snow shelter and take a night's refuge protected from the Pacific Northwest weather!

This event is dependent on weather conditions as it is typical for a minimum of 8 feet of snow needed to build such a shelter.

The conditions now are showing promise for much snow this year! Location to be determined as the event nears.

This is a family event and all are welcome. Fees to be determined.  The fee only includes the tubing fee. Please plan to bring food/snacks.

It is recommended that you have warm weather resistant clothing, gloves, hats, goggles, extra warm clothes, and lots of energy.

Staircase Campground Campout

This is a one night campout located in the Staircase area of Olympic National Park near Lake Cushman.

The Scouts will have an opportunity to learn and practice outdoor skills, explore the wilderness of Olympic National Park, hike along the Skokomish River and Lake Cushman!

There are several short day-hikes that explore the area. Shady Lane trail is flat, and less than a mile to Lake Cushman. The hike to Flapjack Lakes is for the stronger hikers, gaining over 3,000 feet in elevation.
